Hey guise,

Been writing a bit more poems these days feel like my insecure highschool self.

No more love poems. Thankfully!

Well not to boys, they're more love letters to myself and to you if you need it.

This series is called Not in Kansas Anymore

Pretty self explanatory if you've seen the movie and if you haven't let your imagination take you!

Could also have been called "the girl who played with magic" but I Met a Witch is 1000% more in line with the series title.

I'll quit my rambling and let you have this first poem but please go easy on me:

I Met a Witch

I met a witch

She promised to be nice

I believed her

She said “welcome, make yourself comfortable”

I quickly realized comfortable meant

“Be my friend”

I tried being friends with the witch

I quickly realized friendship to her meant control, possession, obsession

I met a witch

She almost had me spellbound

What she didn’t know was

I come from a world where demons walk among us and receive the same kindness and love as angels

I met a witch

And I loved her like a sister

I learned that some sisters get so green with envy they can’t help wanting to be you

I met a witch

And I learned I’m not dark and twisty after all

I am light and graceful .

I met a witch

And learned why light and darkness cannot coexist.

I met a witch

And she tried to kill me

But she didn’t know I promised my dad I’d be a role model for our tribe and I’d never break a promise to my favorite guy.

I met a witch

And showed her nothing but love

I really hope one day she’s able to love herself the way I do.

If it resonates, if you've been here, if you know this girl leave a comment down below let's talk about it.

When I say "if you know this girl" I am not talking literally but about the version of myself or yourself that is connected with this writing.
